How It Works

Bicycle & E-bike Repairs

We repair all types of bicycles and e-bikes. Book an appointment online or simply drop off your your bike during opening hours. We will troubleshoot your bike and send you a quote within a working day.

*Flat tire repairs are available on a drop-in basis and will be completed by the next day at the latest.

We troubleshoot your bicycle and send you a quote via SMS within a working day.

3. Delivery

We inform you when your bike is ready for delivery. Pick it up within 2 days or call us.

When can I leave my bike?

Flat tire

You are welcome during our opening hours, no booking necessary. When the flat tire is repaired we'll also check your bike free of charge and if needed send a quote for any other needed repairs.

Service & repairs

You can either book a time, or drop your bike off during opening hours*. If you book a time, we'll troubleshoot and send you a quote the same day, otherwise you'll get a quote within one working day.

Regular bikes

All kinds of repair and service, most common spare parts in stock.

Electric bikes

We service all electric bikes. We can only repair electrical faults on mid-drive motors from Bosch and Shimano.

Cargo bikes

All service and repairs are carried out, but appointments are required

We do not repair kickbikes

Flat tire? Drop your bike off during opening hours and pick it up no later than the day after.

The flat tire repair itself costs 350 SEK. If the tire needs to be replaced, the cost of the tire will be added.

Ps. if we include a service package in a quote it's most likely that the package lowered the cost of all labour needed in your quoted repair.

We inspect the most important parts of your bike, adjust the brakes, check the crucial components and inflate the tyres. This provides you with a good overview and ensures that your are riding a safe bicycle.

This is only a selection of the repairs we perform. When you drop off your bike, we always carry out a fault diagnosis and then send you a quote to approve before any repair work is carried out.

Electric bike*

A service package specifically designed for electric bikes, which, due to their weight, electric power, and often frequent use, experience different wear than regular bikes. The service covers the labour to replace all worn-out parts, ensuring that the bike is ready for a long season of cycling

Road bike*

A comprehensive inspection of your road bike where cables, casings, and the drivetrain are replaced. We straighten wheels, check and clean hubs, replace handlebar tape, and perform a headset service. In short, we do everything to ensure your racer is in top form for a long season of training and competition

Cargo bike

2500kr

Our cargo bike is essentially equivalent to our Lagom service, but with more points to check and adjust to ensure the functionality and safety of the cargo bike. Due to the size of the bike, two technicians are often required, and more working time is needed, making the service more time-consuming. We handle reinforced parts that can be more difficult to adjust, such as wheels and brakes.

For selected premium service packages, one of Bikemechanics’ more experienced mechanics personally carries out key steps — or double-checks every detail — before your bike is marked ready for pickup. This ensures the highest possible quality and safety.

Frequently Asked Questions

Cargo bikes always need to schedule an appointment. For all other bikes you can choose to book a time or use or drop-in during opening hours.

You will receive your quote no later than the day after you have submitted your bike. The quote will be sent via SMS, and we do not commence work until the quote is approved. If you have submitted your bike for a puncture, we do not send a quote; instead, you pre-approve tire replacement if needed upon submission

Puncture repairs and tire changes are performed during the day, often within an hour. For more advanced repair work, our goal is to deliver the bike within 1-2 days after the approved quote. It is clearly indicated in the quote we provide if spare parts have a delivery time that affects your repair.

All payments at Bikemechanics are cashless. You can pay with all major cards (Visa, Mastercard, AMEX), Klarna, Swish, or through a payment link via SMS. If you pay for your repair before pickup, you'll be back on the road quickly.

All work comes with a 6-month warranty when the bicycle has been repaired according to our quote. Spare parts and components have warranties from their respective manufacturers but not for normal wear and tear. We do not provide a warranty for puncture repairs.

We have almost all common spare parts in stock, allowing us to offer drop-in services and fast delivery times. For more uncommon parts, we usually order directly from the respective manufacturer

Yes! We have several loan bikes. If you know that you definitely need one, please inform us when making your appointment or give us a call. If one is available, we'd be happy to reserve it for you.

At our bike workshop on Rådmansgatan, we accept cargo bikes by appointment that are a maximum of 74 cm wide. This is what our door allows. We are working towards offering repairs for all cargo bikes in the near future. Please note that you need to book a time for your cargo bike. Online booking is not yet available, please email info@bikemechanics.se and we will find a time for you.

Yes!

If your electric motor is labeled Shimano or Bosch, we perform all conceivable repairs and upgrades. If it's something else, we still carry out most repairs such as gears, brakes, tires, and lighting, but currently, we cannot assist with repairing the electric motor itself and associated electronics. Our Electric Bike Service for Bosch and Shimano follows each manufacturer's detailed service protocols, ensuring that your e-bike continues to function smoothly without major disruptions.
